I have been a potter for over 20 years and have developed the belief that everyone should be able to afford a piece of art for the garden no matter what their budget, which is why I keep my prices very reasonable and my standard high. This is why a lot of my customers keep returning every year. The materials I use most of the time are natural oxides except for some glazed birds. Because I don’t live on a main road, I don’t have standard opening hours but welcome people dropping in to purchase or just see if there’s anything new.
There are usually some bargains lying around and I have eftpos if you need it. I recommend that you contact me first to make sure that I am home. See my contacts page for details on phone numbers and address/map. I spend a large part of the year making my handmade pottery birds and then start selling on the craft and festival circuit which goes from September until May. In the craft show season, most weekends I’m on the road by 5am and then when I arrive it’s a 2hr setup to get everything just right.
People enjoy my work because every piece is different and, because I don’t use moulds, every piece has its own personality. I work with both native and farmyard birds but a lot of my best creations are happy accidents. Its exciting when you open the kiln and something that you thought was going to be just ok, comes out awesome.
